September 2018, the agricultural science and technology demonstration park, a joint effort between NWAFU, Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, and Kyrgyz Pastoral Agriculture Co., Ltd., was officially inaugurated in the Moscow District of Chuy State, Kyrgyzstan. After five years of development, the demonstration crops have exhibited robust growth, with apple yields surpassing 3000 kilograms per mu. NWAFU’s promotion of the special pollination tree varieties for apples and the intensive cultivation mode of dwarfing stocks for apples has garnered significant recognition from local governments, agricultural enterprises and neighboring farmers.

The remarkable achievements in variety demonstration and promotion at the Demonstration Park have earned high praise from the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Agriculture, facilitating further expansion of the facility. The establishment of a strategic cooperation relationship between NWAFU and Kyrgyzstan's local government and enterprises is poised to facilitate further exploration of the construction model for overseas agricultural science and technology demonstration gardens by emphasizing technology-led, enterprise-driven, multi-cooperation, and market-oriented approaches. This endeavor aims to position the Sino-Kyrgyz Fruit Tree Breed-Breeding Technology Demonstration Park as a flagship project for agricultural technology promotion in Central Asia, thereby advancing NWAFU’s contribution to the Belt and Road initiative.
