HedidhispostdoctoraltraininginProf.Dong‘s labfrom 2013 to 2014. HewasanAssistant ProfessoratIowaStateUniversityfrom 2014 to 2018. HeisnowaPrincipal InvestigatorintheSchoolofLifeSciencesatPekingUniversityand Peking-Tsinghua Center forLifeSciences.Dr. Wang and his group integrate biochemistry, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and cutting-edge technologies for transcripomics to investigate the interplay between plants and the environment.Hehaspublished manyresearcharticlesintop-notchjournals includingNature,Biosensors &Bioelectronics, Cell Host & Microbe, Molecular CellandCurrent Biology. Hispapershavebeencitedover 1,600 timesaccording to Google Scholarcitation record.Dr.Wei Wang was named as “Yifang Scholar” by the School of Life Sciences at Peking University in 2018. In 2019, he was named as “Peking University Boya Young Fellow” by Peking University and selected by “Program forHigh-level OverseasTalents-YouthProject” of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of China in 2019.In recent years, Dr. Wang’s group have developed a series of nanosensors for quantification of phytohormones and metabolites. Besides, Dr. Wang’s group has obtained a comprehensive map of the abiotic stress inputs to the core components of soybean circadian clock. The relevant papers have been published on professional journals like Biosensors & Bioelectronics, PNAS as well as on IEEE conference proceedings including IEEE MEMS and IEEE Sensors. The paper on the theophylline nanosensor has been awarded the silver prize on IEEE Sensors conference.
